Crowd at May Day (may 1) in Plaza de la Revolucion. There were over 1 million people there that day. That tower is the Jose Marti memorial, you can see his statue, and just in front of it is where Fidel and the other officials spoke. Little kids were handing out those flags to everyone (at the urging of their mothers, who made them give us some when they saw we didn't have any)

I realise I look retarded in this picture, but behind me you can see the bay and parts of the old fortress built by the Spanish (in Havana). At least I'm pretty sure that's what this is...

That, aside from my cleavage, is a shot of me sitting in the great hall at the University of Havana. It's REALLY nice. Similar to Grant Hall but nicer. AND that chair I'm sitting in is the one Fidel sits in when he visits the University (where he also got his law degree)

This is our "motorcyle diaries" shot...except we're really in a cocotaxi on our way back from the beach when we were in Trinidad de Cuba. Not very much like el Che. Oh well. We can pretend.

Said beach in Trinidad. All white sand, blue water, clear skies....can you feel that little wave on your feet? They had great sand in Trinidad. Lydia and I exfoliated and had a spa day in it, it was fantastic. We also burned a little. Meh.

And of course, my favourite (though touristy) kind of shot...

Sunset at the beach, one of the ones near Havana. I don't remember which, but from the waves I'm guessing Playa del Este

And that's all for now! More to come once I develop then scan my pics, in the meantime feel free to bug lydia :)
