So yeah, Matt told me about the whole probably not being able to live with you guys thing. Are you guys gonna help him try and find a place or is he going to stay with me until he finds a place himself? Just wondering.

He would be best off if he could find someone else who was willing to be his roommate. "Moving here and finding a place himself". It sounds so easy, I thought financial independance would be as simple as that. It's not. And in retrospect, there's a lot of things I wish I had established first. Like a high school education, good credit, a car, and probably at least 3000 dollars for the 40 dollar application fee, 500 dollar security deposit, and the 1500 for first and last months rent. I have to acquire all of those things on the fly now. If you and Matt are making plans, please think them through, and plan them out. That kind of advice is probably the best help I can give anyone... Is Matt gonna try and find a job/place in Winona?

I know it's not easy, but I'm just wondering if you would be willing to help him find a place. Because he can't stay here with me because I'm done with school in 5 months and I don't know if that's allowed. I have no clue if he's going to try and find a job or place here in Winona because I don't intend on staying at this college next year unless I have to. I think he does want to be able to be around you, so yeah... Just keep me updated on things and I'll keep talking to Matt about what he's gonna do when he gets back here.

I know. Matt was saying it won't be for a while. It's going to have to wait, because I can't really help anyone become financially independant until I'm done helping myself do the same. I gave him some advice today over AIM, and that's probably the best I can do to help him. Preparation is the key, the most he can do right now is work hard and be patient.
