Hi,

I haven't even compiled the list yet and I already know my reading rate was terrible this year.  I probably didn't even average out to a book a week.  Anyway, here's what I read:
  1. The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead
  2. The Dictator's Handbook by Bruce Bueno de Mesquita and Alastair Smith
  3. Silent Hall by N S Dolkart
  4. The Skill of Our Hands by ( Read more... )

I highly recommend the novel Stephen King wrote with his son author Owen King. It's eerie, timely, and in a way, humanity is the monster.

I should keep a list this year... avivasedai January 11 2018, 17:38:21 UTC
I hear you about lack of reading, but I'm trying to build reading back in to my regular habits. I've actually finished 1 book already this year! Woo! Now, to be more intentional about it. This was a freebie book someone left on a table at my university, and I'll similarly give it away. Hmmm, I wonder if the library of my university, the library *in which I work*, could be a place for me to find some good, quality reads for free? Crazy, I tell ya.

Also: outdoors time is quality time! I'm glad you've had more of it, and I hope it too has enriched your life in the last year. My ideal world: reading while walking. This will have to wait until daylight extends further in the evening, or I bring a book with me to the big wide open walking path near work on lunch breaks (when it's not raining, which will be April or May).
