WHIIIIIIIINGE...

Yes, it is time for me to participate in the most time-honoured of LJ customs,

Hm. So, those who know me - and possibly a few who don't - may have gathered I was not best pleased with my exam results. Which were a perfectly respectable 2:1, but I maintain the right to be dissatisfied with it if I want to.

I got the breakdown of my exam results in ( Read more... )

Ugh, being one mark off must be pretty frustrating. I shouldn't think a 2:1 from Oxford is going to hold you back in life though, and I think it's fair to say you got a "moral" first, as my tutor would have said.

At the end of the day, the real issue is: congratulations on surviving four years! No congratulations on escaping Oxford though; you weren't supposed to do that...

*grins* behold! I am *not* chained to carfax tower! Ha-HA! ...Although I was planning on a visiting weekend sometime in early August/late July (after finishing my wonderful two weeks of not-quite-as-interesting-as-data-entry job), so I will be careful not to tell you exactly when, and take some teeth-operated chaincutters ¬_______¬...

[yes, it *is* frustrating. But frustration is better than depressed, any day...]

Helloo there ^^ I look away from LJ for one minute, and the next, there are twenty comments! *wooot*! I am loved!

Well, 'tis true... I only wanted the first just *because*... there was no actual practical reason for it, since I'm not going into further research and whatnot. So actually having the marks finally delivered was something of a relief, because all I knew before that was I'd got a 2:1 - soo at least all that miserable final term was not for nought... *smugs* and I did get over 80% on one of 'em (methinks the examiners overcompensated for it being the hardest subject, but I'm certainly not complaining...)

(... not about them anyway. Accursed markers!!)

... Hmmm and come to think of it, I still have to arrange some celebratory type thing, don't I? Argh, organisation =__=... will get back to you, honest guv...

And helloo there as well #^_^# many thanks (ooh, I like the icon!)

I have also been trying to explain the awesomeness of Guitar Wolf to people. They do not understand. I fear my only recourse is to show them....

I haven't seen the breakdown of my marks yet but I felt very much the same way last year, when I missed out on getting a first. I think we were both disappointed but you know it's hardly as if you failed. You should be happy with a 2:1, hardly any employer will turn away a 2:1 from Oxford.

*Takes a swig of rum...*

Yes. Disappointing ;_; but we shall probably recover. Or possibly get drunk and then recover. Or possibly get drunk, recover, and get drunk again. I never did get to go to Frevds for cocktails last term, alas...

Well, I'm still not happy with a 2:1, because it's not as though I wanted a first just to get a job. It was for personal gratification only - well, that and the boasting. Though I am *almost* happy with a 69. No dirty jokes please ;p.

*woot* DUO SASHIMI!! Glad you liked it ^^. I think he got hair extensions for this picture, though. Ahh, and now I have conger-eel craving again o_O... they cook conger eel in sauce in Seirei no moribito... they're sending me subliminal messages, dammit!

#^_^# *is hugged* Many thanks. Ooooh and the shiny waterfall is so shiny... where's it from? I was going to draw something like that tonight v__V there's nothing like the boredom of a data entry job to get the creative ideas going. Unfortunately there's also nothing like it for sapping the energy for realizing them right out of you...
