Because Graham Dalton paved the way for Edward Grey. Because this film paved the way for Secretary. Because James Spader likes to watch. Because James Spader does "latent" and "covert" better than anybody.
Worth a revisit? Well - I have seen it three times now. So, yes. I like it better every time I see it. You'll love the camera work, the use of freeze frames and the sense of style that precedes Guy Ritchie but has that kind of energy & play.
I first found him attractive in sex lies & videotape. His ... deviancy was so passive that it turned me on :D But in Secretary, he's probably the most attractive he's ever been to me. I'm a fan of his work. I'm also a fan of Soderbergh's, although he doesn't hit 'em out of the ballpark every time. I loved his "Out of Sight" with Clooney and a young Jennifer Lopez.
There's something about him that's riveting but creeps me out. Secretary was a role like that. And he was the original Daniel Jackson in the film Stargate, where I thought he was a bit too moist. LOL

Have you seen Out of Sight by Soderbergh with Lopez and Clooney? I watched it again over the weekend. It's got so much juice!
I'm just about the slide in Disc One of S2 of Sons of Anarchy!
