things that just piss ya off....

So, OKRF 08 was overall a pretty good run. Keli and I had an absolute blast this year, having left the dance team (with much sorrow) and trading that time for time on the streets. It proved to be a good choice ( Read more... )

Now there's a visual. A bastion wall made out of cakes of soap.

"Now go away, or I will suds you up a second time!" ^_~`

Believe me, I totally understand the frustration of coming up with an original "schtick" and then having to stand back and smile graciously as someone ursurps it. I got to choke on that a few times this season, and it tastes like bile ( ... )

we wanted people to join in on the song at the smoker, and we were thrilled when everyone did. the guys told us way before hand that they had a retort and we planned that. They were always gracious to not upstage us and to 'bow' before us when in fact, sometimes, theirs really was more funny. That was all in good fun and we love it ( ... )

As a patron who has been to many Washing Well Wenches shows and many Laundry Lasses shows, the only similarities I've ever seen is that you both have tubs, you both get your audiences wet, and you both sing...I don't think any of those can be copywritten.

I can understand how pissed you'd be.

Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but stealing bits & schticks is just tacky, and I know that you guys wouldn't do that.

I am so sorry to hear that! It's sad that you can't leave your things at your own stage and trust them to still be there.

Sorry to hear that the help was not forthcoming. No surprising but sorry nonetheless. Just so you know, the LMC could not have shared a stage with a better act and we appreciate all you did to help us in our presentations, even if only to make us laugh at your wry and pithy commentary. We hope to see you at the KC Smoker. (Oh, and by the way, we did not intend it as a steal but rather a salute to the hand puppets when nottygypsy started adding an "I KNOW" into the Shrew show)

We loved having LMC as our stage partners! We like knowing who we are going to be dealing with :)

I didn't even know that you added the "I know!" to the shrew show, but thats hilarious!! I was referring to some other very blatant things that happened early on. It was all good in the end, we talked to the parties involved and it stopped.

I need to quit writing stuff when I'm tired and irritated :D

I understand the unoriginality. I see it and it bothers me. I noticed it more than once this year. Just take it as flattery and say, "Fuck it!" You are two extremely talented ladies. It's no wonder everyone wants to be like you:p
