I used to love Thomas Kinkade for the tranquility of his rustic paintings and the golden warmth emanating from the cottages he features. I don’t know if anyone has been following “Last Comic Standing” as closely as I have. I caught last season after the fact on Comedy Central, and now I’m addicted to this season. Today I watched Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado (a satirical operetta) with the family. It’s my dad’s favorite of the G & S works.
