That Political Game
Alright.
This isn’t fleshed out fanfic. This is from an IM with Nic and this all literally came to me within seconds of seeing this picture or Jared and Gen.
So if you don’t like it, I don’t really care, but I feel like sharing and yeah. Just, don’t judge me. Thank you :P

That Political Game:
Okay, so they look super serious, and not in like a happy way but like concentrated kind of. And jared’s dog tags, at first i thought they were like press passes or something like that.
But for some reason i thought it looked like an image of a president sitting with the first wife in like a meeting about the nation and or something about re-election.
SOOOOO
Jared is the president and Gen is clearly the first wife. But what the public doesn’t know (no one knows except her) that he’s gay.
but he’s always been big politically and wanted to make big changes in the world. so she married him so that he could be this change that he saw himself as and do something amazing. so she’s his beard
they’ve been best friends since they were little and she loves his ambition and his fire and the way he sees the world and maybe he did something big for her in the past so she wanted to do this for him. help him be the change.
Jared is president but secretly gay.
and Jensen is totally in his secret service. and lets say there are 5 men that are ALWAYS there. that are always his personal protection and i mean, who WOULDN’T look at jensen and fucking drool and undress him with their eyes.
So re-election is coming up and CLEARLY jared is a hard core democrat. but the republican running against him has this really good campaign and while Jared’s done a lot of changes and a lot of good, they don’t think the public is going to re-elect him.
but while all of this is going on there are small things happening with Jensen. maybe there’s a secret room off of the oval offic that they eventually use and jensen is always the one secret service that is ALWAYS put on Jared duty and is standing in the room for protection.
and Jensen is always quiet and Jared’s goal is to make the man smile and Jared’s still jared and loves animals and candy. but yeah. one day, on a bad day, jared’s in the office feeling defeated with the re-election campaign and feels like a failure and then jensen finally breaks his resolve and just goes off on him.
and tells him how much of an amazing person he is and how him being president has made so many changes for the postive and talks about things and Jared can tell that Jensen pays attention and is interested in the politics too and isn’t just a creepy secret service guy that is mind washed about fighting and stuff
and Jensen is leaning over the desk just rambling about all the good that jared is and does
and jared just stands up and jensen thinks he’s about to be punched because come on, jared’s fucking tall and muscles and he braces himself but jared just reached out, grabs jensens face and kisses him.
jensen kisses him back and then freezes, and pulls back and leaves the room. and another secret service guy replaces him for a few days
and there’s nothing he can do like ask about jensen because he can’t give away his secret, and he’s kind of freaking out because he really isnt sure if jensen will tell anyone
but jared’s a naturally optimistic personand Gen totally notices jared kind of moping about something and she makes him tell her whats up and she just smiles at him and they have a conversation about it, and about what he’s going to do and he’s at a complete loss.
and then a week later, Jensen is back on oval offic duty
and idk what happens between jensen coming back and the end
BUT
at the end Jared’s completely head over heels for jensen and he doesn’t know that jensen feels the same way but it’s pretty much neck and neck in the polls and at the end jared pulls out of the re-election because he realizes that he doesn’t need to be president to make the changes he wants to see.
and he chooses jensen over the politics and jared doesnt see jensen for like two months
because yeah, he announced his sexual orientation on nationally broadcast television after he resigned and announced his divorce from Gen and he has no way of getting in contact with Jensen.
there are still a few secret service that are with him when he goes out because he’s still too high profile but he doesn’t ask them about jensen. doesn’t want to be desperate even though he’s craving him.
and then one day he hears on of the secret service guys answer the door for him when he’s about to be leaving and hears a laugh.
and he knows that laugh
he’s only heard it a few times and he fights to stay in his bed room to keep packing because he’s afraid of what he’ll find.
so he’s a little surprised to turn around and go back to his closet and finds jensen leaning on the door frame to his room
and jensen tells him that he told the secret service guys that he’s got it from here (he was one of the three superiors of the small group while jared was president) and he’s still secret service
and jared can’t speak. he’s not sure this is real
and then jensen’s moving and is on jared. kissing him. and telling him he’s missed him
and that he’s sorry it took so long for him to get here.he had to make sure that everything was in place and that it wouldn’t be a problem . and even though jared kind of risked everything for jensen, jared understands that jensen loves his job and he’s worked his whole life for everything that he’s gotten, and he doesn’t care. and he tells jensen he loves him for the first time. and jensen says is back and its all okay.
