I used to want (and still do very much want) Pacey Witter to be my boyfriend.

So. Much. Love.I wonder how many girls of my generation feel the same way- that Pacey ruined them for all other men because no one can live up to his awesomeness. No other man would think to buy a girl a wall or take her away on a boat for the summer and read to each other in their hammocks. No other man could ever be that awesome ( Read more... )

I was not allowed to watch it, as my mother felt it would give me unrealistic expectations of high school (just...don't go there. it's easier) but whenever i managed to sneak in an ep, i loved it. i feel i should go back and watch it...

I love when parents ban seemingly harmless shows- I was never allowed to watch The Simpsons, yet watching Nightmare on Elm Street and It and shit like that was fine when I was a kid. Still makes no sense to me.

You should definitely watch the show from beginning to end. It's a good show- one of the best for its time and genre imo- and the actors are pretty decent despite being years older than their characters in most cases. Good storylines too and, well, I've already made my Pacey feelings well known so even when the storylines weren't great, he was being awesome there somewhere.

Anyways. Give it a try! It's easy to watch. And fun!

and see, simpsons had a lot going for it. for example, one halloween episode that my father loves to quote, even though we were never a simpsons family. they did a rendition of Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven. It was hilarious and fantastic, and to this day, my father will still spit out, "Quote the raven, 'Eat my shorts!'" if he's feeling particularly...witty.

I shall endeavor to do so, my dear! :D

Buffy > Dawson's Creek. Definitely. It's the sort of show that is worth watching though, if only to laugh and go 'Oh god, I used to dress just like that!' and to watch Joshua Jackson be completely awesome in every way possible. Also Jane Lynch is his mom! I also found it helpful, when I was annoyed about things, to imagine punching Dawson in the face for being a whiny bitch. Always made me feel better.

His fanfiction sounds amazing. If I'd been in San Diego I would have bought them all. $10 is a steal!

Wasn't he just? I remember really worrying at the end, that Joey would make the wrong choice and go off with Dawson and it would be awful. But I should have had faith- no one can resist the Pacey!
