Title: Wrong Identity 5/?
Pairing: Haehyuk
Genre: fluff
Disclaimer: It is my regret and sorrow that I cannot own these funny, cute, HOT, and awesome boys.
Summary: Hyukjae is forced to find a new method to get into his college after being rejected. With the help of his friend, Sungmin (and an evil genius), he finally gets in - in a creative way.
Jessica ran over to Donghae and gave him a big hug, resulting in a crash on the floor. Looking at the ground, I decided to back away a couple of steps to prevent other accidents.
Jessica grinned as they stood up. “Oppa! I really miss you,” she said, pouting.
Donghae just laughed and patted her head. Then he finally looked over and saw me. And winked.
Really, he is still able to look me in the eye after “that”? And winking too? Wow… he’s really dangerous.
“Hae oppa, we need a key to get in the studio, you have one right? Eunhyukkie really really wants to go in but we don’t have ours,” Jessica said.
“Oh, really?” Donghae asked, raising his eyebrow at me. I shrugged, acting like I didn’t really care. Because the last thing I want is him suspecting person-in-the-closet is me.
He fished out his key in his backpack and inserted it in, opening the door. We went in and Jessica put down her bag and sat down. “Wah, it’s so big, oppa!”
“You haven’t been in here before?” he asked, sitting down next to her.
“Nope,” she said. I quickly sat down on the floor.
“I’ve been in here one or two times,” he said. Please don’t ask me…
“What about you Eunhyuk?” Donghae asked, looking at me. Intensely.
I froze. “Uh -”
“- She went in here to practice a few times already. Right Eunhyukkie?” Jessica asked, also looking at me strangely. I nodded, avoiding their eyes.
Donghae stood up and stretched. “Hey, Jess, how about we have a dance battle? And with Eunhyukkie too? Since she also knows how to dance?” he asked, grinning at me. I rolled my eyes.
Jessica looked up, interested. “Like old times?” she asked. I felt a pang at my heart. So they kneweach other before? But why should I care? It’s not that I like him…
Donghae switched the CD player on. “Come on Eunhyuk,” he said, tugging my arm. I pulled away, shaking my head. “I’ll just dance with the winner.”
He grinned. “Ok. Hey Jessica, let’s just dance until we drop. Whoever falls first loses.”
“What? But that’s not fair, oppa,” she pouted.
“Hmm, and Eunhyuk will judge. Cause she will dance with the winner right?” Donghae smiled at me, completely ignoring Jessica. I just nodded, not wanting to argue in front of Jessica.
So after a very, very short time, it was obvious who was losing. Jessica sat down, gasping for breath. “You’re so mean, oppa,” she whined. “Can’t you let me win once?”
“Nope,” Donghae said cheerfully. I frowned. What kind of guy are you?
He saw me glaring at him. “Not when Eunhyuk is watching. I can’t lose to a girl when she’s watching.” For some reason, I blushed when he said that.
I stood up and stretched a little. “Whatever, let’s just get this over with,” I said, taking off my jacket. Donghae grinned and went over to take something from his backpack.
Jessica patted my back. “Get revenge for me ok, Eunhyukkie?” she said, smiling evilly at Donghae.
Donghae and I stood ready, waiting for the music to start. Sound filled the room. And we danced.
To the songs on my CD.

“He’s mad, sulking, embarrassed, jealous, hurt, steaming. And boiling. But despite all of that, he admires Hyukjae hyung a little. And feels depressed and gloomy as well,” said Kyu.
“Yah, idiot, no one can feel that much at the same time, they would blow up,” Minnie argued.
Kyu rolled his eyes. “But by what hyung had said, it’s obvious that Donghae’s not happy. Ok?”
I had told them everything that happened.
Yup, I won our little dance battle. Woo hoo.
And in class, I was praised by our dance instructor. And immediately became his favorite student.
As well as the class’s favorite.
And throughout the whole class, he was sulking.
So he’s that upset, huh? I should get on his bad side more often.
Minnie frowned. “So forget whatever Donghae is feeling, I don’t really care. All I know is that I don’t like this guy. How can someone be such a player? And I really don’t like the way he acted towards our Hyuk.” Yup, I told them about that too.
“Really. Should I ever see that guy, I will use my bunny technique,” Minnie continued, still fuming.
“Uh, that move?” I asked nervously. Now I’m starting to regret it.
“That move.”
Kyu smirked. “It’s ok, Minnie honey. He’s just acting like that because he likes Hyukjae.”
“Yah, where are your manners? You have to call me ‘hyung’ - huh?” I looked at Kyu in shock.
“WHAT?!” Minnie and I said in disbelief.
“And Hyukjae likes him too,” Kyu said, still smirking.
“YAH, ARE YOU INSANE?! WHY WOULD I LIKE HIM??!”
“NO WAY WILL I ALLOW HIM TO DATE OUR HYUK!!” A couple of people passing by looked at us weirdly.
Kyu kept smirking.
“Kyu, if Donghae likes him, he wouldn’t have acted that way to Hyuk,” said Minnie more calmly.
“Brat, I thought you were some kind of genius, how can you say that? That guy just likes to tease me,” I said frowning. “And I don’t like him either,” I quickly added.
Kyu shrugged. “Whatever, I only said that to see your reactions. Which are really amusing.”
I smiled widely, grabbing his shirt collar. “Right now, I find choking you is interesting.”
“Stop it, you two,” Minnie said lazily, not bothering to stop us. He looked at his watch. “Isn’t it almost time for your science class or something, Hyuk?”
“Oh, right,” I said. I rose and grabbed my backpack. “Bye!”
I quickly ran over to my science classroom, only to find it empty. Where is everybody?
“H-hey, Eunhyuk-sshi,” said someone behind me. I turned around and saw Siwon. I smiled.
“Hi Siwonnie,” I said, bowing a little. Was it my imagination or did Siwon blush a little??
“Um, your class is working together with the other science class. In the other lab. A weird hyung told me to tell you,” he said. Ah, thank you Yesung hyung.
I nodded. “Thanks Siwon.”
He smiled cutely, showing his dimples. “Want me to come with you to your class?”
“Sure. As long as you’re not late for yours.” I glanced at my watch. “Oh man, I’m late!!!” I began to run.
Suddenly, he grabbed my wrist.
“Siwon? Come on, we have to hurry.” I looked at his face. Siwon’s face was beet red. He suddenly pulled out a package out of nowhere and pushed it into my arms.
“F-for y-you,” Siwon stammered, avoiding my eyes.
Then he ran.
“YAH! Aren’t you coming with me?! WHY ARE YOU DITCHING?!” I yelled.
Frustrated, I shoved the object into my backpack and ran to my class. A minute later, I slid safely to my desk, where Ryeowook and Yesung hyung were sitting, just as the bell rang.
“Hi, noona, long time no see,” said Ryeowook happily.
“Nice to see you guys again,” I panted.
“Why were you running?” Yesung hyung asked, looking at me intently.
“Uh… Siwonnie… he… that idiot….” I gasped for breath. Yesung nodded as if he knew something.
“Told you, Wookie,” he grinned. Wookie smiled widely.
“Oh yeah, thank you for telling Siwonnie,” I said, finally getting my breath back. “I would’ve been late.”
“No problem,” Yesung shrugged. We faced the teacher, who had finally started talking again.
As soon as the teacher was finished with the lesson, the class was in an uproar again as they grabbed supplies and talked about the assignment as well as random things. I was collecting the tools we needed when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned and saw Yoona, a friend of Jessica’s.
“Hi Eunhyuk,” she said, smiling. “It’s nice to see you.”
“You too,” I replied. “Uh, you were in my class?”
“No, our classes are working together,” she said.
“Ah, I see,” I said, as we found the materials we needed.
“Do you want to sit with us? There’s Seohyunnie and Taeyeon too,” she said, pointing to the front. I looked
and saw the two girls, waving at me. I waved back. They looked really happy to see me, I couldn’t refuse.
“Uh, sure. Let me give these to my… table partners.” I returned to where my Yesung hyung and Wookie were sitting.
“Here you go, Wookie. Um, is it ok if I sit -?”
“With your other friends?” asked Yesung hyung. I nodded quietly, surprised that he knew what I wanted to say.
“Sure,” said Ryeowook, smiling.
“Sorry, I -”
“We understand, Hyuk. Go,” said Yesung hyung, who’s also smiling encouragingly. I just nodded again and quickly went over to where the girls were sitting.
“HI EUNHYUK!” they said cheerfully. I smiled and sat down, and we worked together until class was dismissed.
I saw Ryeowook and Yesung waiting for me as I came back to get my stuff. “Hi Hyuk,” Yesung said.
I grinned and quickly got my things. But as we were leaving, Taeyeon spotted me.
“HYUK! Come and play with us!” she said cutely. Then she saw my friends. “Oh, you’re busy, sorry Hyuk, next time ok?” she said, smiling sadly. I opened my mouth to apologize, that I will definitely meet them next time.
Then Yesung pushed me to Taeyeon.
“It’s ok, Hyuk, go and have fun with your friends, ok?” Yesung said.
“Ah…” I was dumbfounded.
Wookie pouted, but Yesung leaned in and whispered something to him. Ryeowook made an “oh” face. “Ok, have fun, noona!” he said cheerfully.
“But…” I protested, but they disappeared.
I looked at Taeyeon. “Sorry about that.”
“It’s fine. They’re really nice, Eunhyuk,” said Taeyeon. She pouted. “Sorry. I didn’t know. Now you had to cancel your plans.”
“No, it’s ok, don’t worry about it. I’ll talk to them later,” I said, smiling. I hope.
She grinned and looked over at Yoona and Seohyun. “YAH! Why are you taking so long?! Let’s go, Eunhyukkie’s gonna to play with us!” The two grinned.
“Wah, really?? Thanks Eunhyuk-sshi!” I smiled and let them lead me to wherever they were going. I decided that I will have fun now and apologize to them later.
“Let’s go!”
* * *
“Bye, Taeyeon. Seohyun. Yoona,” I said, waving goodbye. We were in front of my dorm.
“Yup, bye! Oh, Jessica’s going to be late,” Yoona said. “She said something about not waiting for her, go to sleep first. Maybe. I think.”
“Oh, thanks.” They smiled at me and began to walk to their rooms.
As I was about to go in, I stopped and thought about something. Then I turned around.
“Hey!” They looked at me. “Um… what’s Jessica’s relationship with… that guy?” I couldn’t say Donghae’s name.
“Donghae oppa?” Seohyun asked. I nodded quickly.
Yoona thought for a minute. “Hmm, we don’t know.”
“… Huh?”
“Well, they’re not dating,” Taeyeon rolled her eyes.
“A love-hate bond?” asked Seohyun.
Yoona shook her head. “No, that’s not it.”
I nodded. “Thank you.”
“Sure,” said Taeyeon. “Bye.”
“They’re childhood friends,” someone said behind us. We turned and saw Hyoyeon standing there in her
pajamas.
“I was tired of waiting for you. Now I regret not hunting for you since I know you guys were hanging out together,” Hyoyeon pouted.
“Sorry. By the way, how did you know?” asked Yoona.
“Huh? You guys didn’t know her before?” I asked, confused.
“No, she’s our most recent addition to the group. She joined us in high school,” said Hyoyeon, rolling her eyes. “I was curious about the same thing, so after our first meeting with Eunhyukkie, I asked Donghae oppa. He said they were childhood buddies, meeting for the first time since elementary school.”
“Oh,” I murmured.
“Hey, Jess, how about we have a dance battle?”
“Like old times?”
I was right. They knew each other before, I thought. I sighed. “Goodnight,” I bowed.
“Goodnight, Eunhyuk.”
“Bye.”
“See you next time.”
I closed the door and shut myself in the bathroom for the next two hours.
* * *
Right when I stepped out of the bathroom, my phone started ringing. I went over and looked at the caller id. Minnie?
“What are you calling at this hour for?” I asked, irritated.
“Someone asked me to give your number.”
I gasped. “Eh? Who?? A stalker?!”
“No, idiot, who would want to stalk you?” said the snarky voice of Kyu.
“Yah, brat, get off the phone. I’m talking to Minnie. And use your honorifics!” I frowned.
“Don’t you mean, my Minnie? And I can’t, it’s on speaker, hyung.”
“Aish, Kyu, let me talk to Hyuk. So whatever, I gave it to him,” Minnie said.
“What?” I asked.
“Your number. I really think Kyu’s right, you are an idiot.”
“No, I’m not, cause you’re the one who gave my number to a complete stranger!”
“He’s not a stranger, it’s just -” My phone started beeping.
“Ah, wait, I have a call coming in. No id…. OH MY GA - yah Minnie, it’s the stalker!”
“Oh. Ok, have fun talking to him.”
“MINNIE!” Kyu laughing evilly in the background. Click.
“Aish…..” I messed my hair and pressed a button. “Hello?”
“Uh, hi Eunhyuk-sshi.”
“… Siwonnie???” I asked, not sure.
“Yeah…”
“Oh. Hi….”
“Hi….” Silence.
“You… asked Minnie for my number?”
“You knew?!” Siwon sounded shocked.
“Haha, no, he just called me…”
“Oh…” Awkward silence.
“Um, did you open it yet?” Siwon asked shyly.
“What?”
“The… box.”
“Ah! I forgot! Let me get it!” I scrambled over to my backpack and took it out.
“Um, what’s in it?” I asked.
“Open it,” he said. I tore it apart.
“Ah, there’s another box in here….” I heard Siwon chuckle. I opened the smaller box…
“YAH! There’s another box! Are you playing with me?!” Siwon laughed, a nice tinkling sound.
“Just open it.” I did and eagerly looked inside.
“Oh… it’s another box…” I said dejectedly. Siwon laughed really loud.
“Haha, sorry Eunhyuk-sshi, I promise, it’s the last one.” I opened it and gasped.
“Whoa… it’s a necklace….” I held it in the air. It was silver heart, dangling on a silver chain. “Wow... it’s
really beautiful… thank you Siwonnie….”
“You like it?” Siwon asked happily.
“Yup.” If I were a girl. “Thank you for this.”
“Will… you wear it?”
“Yeah. I’ll wear it tomorrow,” I said, not wanting to disappoint him.
“Hey Eunhyuk-sshi… are we friends?” Siwon suddenly asked.
“Of course, why did you ask that?”
“… Only friends?”
“Huh? What do you want us to be then?” I asked, confused.
“What?!”
“What do you want us to be?”
“I… want us… to be… no…”
“Huh?” My heart suddenly started to beat really fast.
“Um… I want… to be… your...” Jessica slammed the door open, looking dead tired. She saw me on the
phone and mouthed a “Sorry.” Then she went into the bathroom quietly.
“ -friend.”
“What?” I didn’t hear the rest.
“Never mind. I’m hanging up.”
“Oh! Wait! You want to be best friends! I see, I see, ok.” I said cheerfully.
“Best friends?” Siwon sounded miserable.
“Wasn’t that what you said?” I asked, frowning. “Cause my roommate just walked in and I couldn’t hear some of it.”
“Oh. I understand. That’s why?” Siwon muttered.
“What?”
“Ok. Let’s be best friends,” said Siwon cheerfully, mood turning 180 degrees.
“Sure?”
“Bye, Eunhyuk-sshi. I have homework to do.”
“No problem. Hey, drop the sshi ok? ’Cause we’re best friends now,” I grinned.
“… Ok.”
“Bye.”
“Bye.” We hung up.
I flopped on my bed, exhausted. I frowned. Best friends? That wasn’t it? Then what did Siwon say?
What had I wanted him to say?
