is it damaging to let someone's misunderstanding of what you've said go uncorrected? depends on what you mean by damaging, but it's unlikely to ever be a good thing, except in the most mischievous of cases ( Read more... )

The whole time I was reading your post I was thinking of the scenario in class where you ask your prof something and they pull a Palin and answer a different question. I usually cut them off and restate my question, because my Genetics teacher is a shitty teacher, and because I am rude. But when people get my name wrong, I don't correct them, just for fun, and to see where it will go.
