Daytime Emmys

I know everyone in the LuRe community is upset that Eric isn't nominated. I'm not all that surprised. Newbies to daytime don't usually earn a nomination unless they make an impact (think Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan) on Guiding Light) that's was monumental to the show that year. As much as I love ESS, that didn't happen with his character, no matter how ( Read more... )

I don't watch OLTL so I can't judge, but everything I've heard about the show recently is how much better it's gotten and how much the fans enjoy watching it now as opposed to a few years ago. And especially since it's ending I thought they'd get a nom, ala when GL ended two years ago and when ATWT ended last year.

Yeah, as much as I am disappointed about Eric's snub, I get it. He's too new and his role wasn't flashy or overly dramatic.

Michael Muhney--yup, I agree with that. He should be nominated. He's made that character his own and he's on a top-rated show and he still doesn't get recognized. I don't get that.

Same with Trent--he was on the show for what, 10 years and no Emmy love? Not cool at all.

Oh, well, these awards won't be around too long, unfortunately. Sad but true.

The MM snub just boggles my mind. Like you said, top rated show, tons of storyline devoted to his character, and even those that don't like the character say that he knocked that stuff out of the park. I just...I don't get it.

I did a video on yourtube a few weeks ago mad about the cancelations of AMC and OLTL at the end I put about how there will only be 4 soaps now. I remember when I watched soaps over 20 years ago there was about twelve of them.

I think it would be point less to have the soap awards after next year when there isn't that many soaps any more.

I can remember when there were 10 I think. It's really sad that we're down to four now.
