Because I Haven't Posted A Damn Thing In A Long Time

1. Did I ever say I was going back to school? I think I've said it in comments, but I don't know if I've said it in this journal. Well, I am. Just a small community college. And it's kicking my ass. Because I can't schedule my time for shit and I'm always behind. One of these days I'm not going to procrastinate as badly as I am now.

2. I've started ( Read more... )

College is hard. Hang in there!

HIMYM is a great show. It's the only show that I think worthy of as a replacement for my dearly departed Friends. I rarely watch TV during the regular season so I'm still behind on this show. Still trying to finish Season Five.

The $77? Don't worry about it; we all got our thing. :D

True Blood is good so far. Hopefully, you'll get to see it soon.

It's hot in South Texas too! Our normal temps. since early June have been 105+!

Nice to hear from you! And again, college? YOU CAN DO IT! :)

Aww, thanks! The thing is, the work isn't hard. It's just that I procrastinate to the point where I have to pull all nighters. I really can't schedule out my work. It's crazy.

You're in South Texas? And here I thought Charleston was hot. Holy...

On HIMYM, they just use stock footage of Ted's kids in later seasons because they are supposed to be hearing this story in one day. That would be the world's longest day. Anyway, it is always Colleen (she was my favorite Colleen) and David Henry as the kids ( ... )

I forget, do you guys have to deal with the humidity? I think that's the overwhelming thing here. The humidity this week is suppose to push the temps up into the 100s.

All those stories are suppose to be one day? I call bullshit to whoever came up with that premise. EP, showrunner, whoever. They should have thought it out a little better.

Tara/Naomi ftw. I really hope she's on later in the season. I'd love to see Lafayette and Sookie's reactions to her. And now I kinda want Tara/Pam. It isn't going to happen, but dammit that's not going to stop me from wanting it.

Your hair gets frizzy in the humidity? What do you think happens to mine? :) It's suppose to be 100 even, before the humidity today. Yay.

See, now you have me wanting to get the DVDs so I can see what the showrunners have said about the length of the show and the storytelling. I've noticed that with the continuity. That's such a great thing, because shows I've loved (Scrubs) before have been bad about it.

I should be sleeping right now. I'm not. Fuck.

HEE, a little late, but I love this post!

College is very, very hard, yes, which I've noticed as a fellow procrastinator! I'm going into my third year of college, and there hasn't been a single day so far where I wasn't behind in something. Don't worry, it's not just you. ;) But "they" say it gets better, so don't give up! We can both do it! Btw, what kind of classes are you taking?

HIMYM is one of my favorite shows. I love it so much! I personally don't like Barney/Robin as a couple, but I love both characters. My favorite character is Ted, though that seems to be an unpopular opinion XD. Also, I wouldn't get your hopes up about meeting the mother any time soon. I think the writers will just enjoy messing with us until the series finale or something.

$77 on nail polish?!?! I haven't spent that much money on nail polish in my entire life, lol. But what nail polish is to you, might be what dvd's are to me. :P

And, TRUE BLOOD<3. Also one of my favorite shows. I'm loving the new season so far. I watch the episodes online, though ( ... )

The thing is, I went in saying I wasn't going to procrastinate. And what do I do? Procrastinate. We'll learn one of these days. :) I'm taking a bunch of English Lit classes and Philosophy thrown in there. *shrugs* What are you taking? What's your major?

I'm watching HIMYM on syndication. So I'm sure I missed something they cut out for time, but I don't care. I can see where you don't like them together. I just think Robin brings out Barney's non male slut side. And I like that side. And boo about not meeting the mother. I'd actually like to get to know her before the show ends.

It's now $101. :) It's mostly HTF and discontinued nail polishes that are $15-20/polish. I don't know if that makes it better or worst. And yeah, I think polish for me is DVDs for you and the majority of people. I hate makeup except nail polish, so I spend it there.

I've thought about online streaming, but my computer is crap and never plays the streams well. :(

And when are we getting another chapter on the fic? Hmmmmm??? :D

Procrastinators unite! LOL, because of my procrastinating ways, I was forced to take a break from working on the fic and focus on my finals. But I've got a little more time on my hands now, so I'm going to work on updating ASAP. :D

I'm majoring in Criminology and Law, but I still don’t really know what I want to do with it. I’m considering also studying something else, like English or Journalism, after this. I don’t know, there are so many things I’d like to do and so many things I’m interested in XD. English Lit sounds like a lot of fun. I have a friend who's an English major and she gets to take all kinds of awesome classes. And Philosophy? I’m impressed. ;)

re: HIMYM - Where are you now? Yeah, I do see why people like Barney/Robin so much, and I wouldn't mind if they ended up together , but I prefer them as friends playing laser tag than as a couple.

Like I told someone else, you have time to figure out what you want to do. No reason you have to pick something today. I think there's too much pressure on our generation (and by generation I mean those of us in our 20s) and the one after to find out what you want to do RIGHT THIS MINUTE and do it. If Law is what you want great. Awesome. But don't feel pressure to go into it because you majored in it. Law can lead to all sorts of things. I have a friend that went to Law school, passed the bar and all, and now is a tv writer/blogger in LA. I say think of Law as a starting point to wherever it takes you ( ... )

We got HBO for a while and I finally got to see what all the fuss was about TRUEBLOOD. I saw the first 3 episodes of season 4 and really liked it. Now the cable is gone. I was really getting hooked on the show.

I have the first book and going to take a break from BREAK DAWN (haven't really read it in two months) and see what the Sookie books are all about.

Oh, that sucks. I will say I think this season so far has been the most entertaining right out of the gate than the past three. Even season 1 it took a few episodes to get it really going.

I've never read the Sookie Stackhouse series, but everyone I know who has loves them.

Hi! *waves* I've seen you around the LuRe comm and sleeper6's and roganrules' journals, so I thought I'd click on over. ;) Since it seems that (even apart from LuRe fangirling \o/), we have a lot of stuff in common - the whole going to school thing, HIMYM, Community, tennis, and of course soccer!, to name just a few - I was wondering if you'd maybe like to be LJ friends? :)

In a word...

YES! :D

Already added. So...are you undergrad or grad? Who are your favorite tennis players? Do you root for a club team or just national team? Fave characters on HIMYM and Community? And do you favor a pairing on the shows?

Hmm...I'm trying to think of another question but my brain is fried right now. Stupid school.

Well to sum up my college experience-went for a few years, couldn't go back due to financial issues, so I decided to finish out my associates at a community college and then go to a four year. Only thing I can really do right now. *shrugs* I've heard about those programs, 5 years and you get your master's. Seems like a smart way to save money in the long run. What are you getting a degree in? For me it's English. Nothing else interest me that much ( ... )
