My car is in need of some serious repairs which is pointing me in the direction of just buying a new car.

so...

what kind of car do you drive?
how do you like your car?
would you recommend it to me?
can you recommend a car for me?

any help would be appriciated.

I have a Toyota Corolla, which has good mileage and runs great. I do a lot of driving, and other than some brake issues, no major problems.

I like Toyotas in general, they are well priced, have a good reputation, and their used car warranty is top notch.

yeah, and the best part was the fact that it was a warranty covered issue and I only had to pay about 300 to fix it as opposed to a grand.

I bought mine used at Right toyota - if you call a 2005 with only 5000 miles used. I bought mine in 2005.

Good stuff

I've driven a 79 cadi, 96 saturn, 97 hyundai, 03 mazda 6, and an 07 jeep liberty. All have their endeering qualties and all had their issues. But if i were you I'd go with a toyota if you can find a way I'd suggest the prius hybrid is good on gas milage and you get a tax credit for it. it's only one of three hybrids i believe, that you can get the tax credit on, or look into biobiesel cars

a co-worker/friend of mine has the prius and loves the crap out of it. it's damn pricey tho. toyota might be the way to go. or a bike and a one-way ticket to new york.

Toyota Camry Wagon. When it works (which is the majority of the time) it is good. 30 mpg freeway. 4 liter engine thingy. Enough cargo space to haul shit when I want. It seems to be a hard to find type though. But there are several good Toyota and Honda types. Camrys. Acuras. Stuff like that. Great gas mileage. I had a friend with some kind of Acura Hatchback. Awesome fuel conspumption...

Plus Toyotas and Hondas tend to be easy to get fixed when they do wear down...

yeah, i def want something that can haul shit and take a beating... i was thinking small pick up so i can haul or camp out in the desert or whatever, but i like that my station wagon was enclosed. mostly, i just need something that can go long distances constantly. i drive 40 miles a day, so it needs to be nice to me with wear and gas mileage.
