...or whatever it is when you don't like a dead celebrity, but am I the only person who thought "good riddance" when I heard Michael Jackson died? I mean, really. It's like everyone in the news media just glosses over the likelihood that he was a child molester of some sort, not to mention just an extremely miserable human being who had to ( Read more... )

My entire Facebook entry from the other day: "Ok, honesty time... Am I the only one who feels not a single pang of grief at the passing of Michael Jackson? I know it's kind of douchebaggy 'cause it just happened and all, but...in all probability, the dude was a megalomaniacal plastic surgery addicted baby raper who couldn't manage his finances despite owning the fricken' BEATLES CATALOG. Oh yeah...my tears fall like rain."

So yeah...you're not the only one.

My thing with it is that its good that a child molester is out of the world, but nothing that he has done can take away from what an amazing musical artist he was, and that is what I miss. Not him, but his musical/video genius.

No grief over here. My first reaction was "good, now all his money can go to children's charities" but of course then that debt was revealed. I think all the good that he has done has been done and most of the bad as well. I have some friends and siblings mourning his death and listening to the all mj music stations online and while I realize his effect on music and dance and what not, I was not of that era (though it seems you were). I didn't know the King of Pop, just the scary white man. The only fond memory I have, was being called the "Michael Jackson rider" by my horseback riding instructor because I had only one glove, then she got me a pair for Christmas.
