They're Gonna Be So Close
New Comic and prompt commentary!

This here was actually my first time drawing Alice in the actual comic, cuz the first comic of this series I actually drew last. Anyway, I should have brushed up on her design cuz that first drawing is AWFUL. As shown in her too-dark, too-flat hair. I think it's funny that looking at it now I can see that I made up for that by making her hair progressively lighter in each panel...:p
Real quick, Jared has a lovely kitchen. And I need to stop free-handing lines that really ought to be straight...I'm dreadfully sorry about those windows...eesh...
So, back to Alice. I forget what part of her I came up with first, if it was the roommate idea or during my character design stage where I was trying to get lots n' lots of body types in the cast, but either way, I like who she is.
Alice is the sort that litterally does not care what she looks like. Lots of girls don't mind if they're not perfect, but Alice legitimately goes no further than making she sure she is clean as far as maintenance goes. Her hair is messy no matter what she does, and she sees no reason not to wear sweat and t shirts whenever applicable. She knows when the time for looking nice comes, and she will do so, but it is a rare time, so she'll stay like this for now, thanks.
There's a story to the hat, but just know that she has had the hat so long should she remove it would take weeks for the hat-hair to go away.
Oh, and panel three Alice is exactly how Alice should look. Nice short face, stick-straight body, and passive but not deadened expression.
Ok, well, just to warn you Friday is a brief filler/announcement so don't be mad when there's no comic. Enjoy the extra-long commentary and see you later!
