Hey! Great to hear! I'm actually trying to lose weight myself. I want to be at the maximum weight for someone of my height for the US Marine Corps. Not that I'd actually join, but that seems to me to be an adequate measure of what a decent weight will be.
And great to hear that you and your lover gal are moving in together! Remember to Keep it Gay!
Boring stuff: I'm not a dietitian or any sort of expert but I've viewed others dramatically change their calorie intake and know that it tends to make one pack on pounds in the beginning. You're body is freaking out and thinking you are starving and starts converting as much as it can to fat. Like I said though, I don't know much and I'm very supportive of your decision just trying to encourage you not to become discouraged if that scenario does happen.
Have you tried nicorette or other such stuff? I'm curious if they work and while, I agree with you about the magic diet pills I don't view these in the same way.
Exciting stuff: HOLY CRAP! I'm so friggin' happy for you I can hardly stand it! :D
Well, that's why the hCG is an important part. It stops your body from going into starvation mode (and thereby destroy bone and muscle before it goes to the fat stores). Really, I'm not hungry. I'm shocked. SHOCKED.
Nah, I don't crave the nicotine so much as the oral fixation ...I got through those 3 days by chewing on a lot of little red coffee straws. :)
I liked this already & all, but WOO! Congratulations on the move etc!
I've dropped like 40lbs since summer through pretty much working my ass off and eating a little bit better. I'm not working my ass off anymore, so I'm trying to eat better and work out & shit. I'm interested to hear more about how this plan works for you! And good luck with controlling your smoking more, that is super super tough!
Thanks, Aaron. :) I value your support! And damn, boy! Losing weight in the winter is hard enough, but 40lbs? Good show!
I've decided not to worry about how much I smoke while I'm on the diet. I refuse to eliminate everything I desire, all at once. It wouldn't be so hard, but Jen is so busy in Pueblo with school and stuff, I barely get to see her for a few hours once a week. And that kills me sometimes... and for years I have resorted to binge-eating when I feel depressed and lonely. So I will stay with the smokes, forget the foodstuffs. I feel it is a fair trade ...for now.
Yeah, more than one thing at a time can be tough as hell. Ha, an really old friend of mine, years ago got mixed up with this psycho chick. He was pretty much an alcoholic anyway, smoked a lot of weed and cigarettes... total addictive personality. Well, he got in to heroin through her. When I heard he'd finally gotten into rehab, I was talking to someone about him and they said he was quitting everything all at once. Dude was drinkin' coffee by the pot, it was nuts. BUT he's still clean.
Yeah, that weight loss surprised me when I realized it. I was eating less & better, pretty much never eating lunch and busting my ass all day. I guess it made a difference? People kept going "Man, are you losing weight?" I was like, yeah, I guess so, if everybody keeps saying it. Now that I'm not keeping as busy, I'm definitely finding it harder to control. And I have my weaknesses anyway, like cookies, brownies, movie popcorn etc. So I'm trying hard and going to the Y and working hard on it.

Re: nutritional plan. whatever you need to do to feel happy in your own skin. :)
Re: smoking. I like where you are going with making it your choice, not that you can't have it. Probably pays off in the long run that way as well.

I need to get back on my bicycle. And go for walks every morning like I did almost a year ago.
