Embroidery present for my boss
My boss had a bad health scare last week and I wanted to make something nice for him. He's an avid backpacker (in fact, he was hiking the John Muir Trail when he fell ill) so I wanted his gift to have that sort of theme.
The "canvas", as it were, is a Marmot tent gear attic. It clips to the inside of the tent to store a lamp, book, reading glasses, etc above the floor of the tent.
It worked really well as both a backpacker gift and for needlework since the mesh makes it both lightweight and incredibly easy to embroider. ;)
As an aside, sheer mesh is really hard to photograph. ;)
