A book on Feng Shui I read a couple of years ago advocated for no technology in the bedroom, except for the essential light(s) and possibly a clock radio.

I totally dig this idea
(says she who has a laptop by the bed, same as her partner).

Me too! I think too much technology (even a tv) takes romance out of the bedroom. It's important to unplug sometimes and just BE.
