and i know it is little consolation right now, but if it was his time, he is so much better off, and you did the right thing by helping him go 'home'..
He is so much better off. Not sure about the rest of us. The vet visibly relaxed when I told him I had to let Sinbad go. He was beginning to give me all the options I could have taken to drain his chest, etc. He was down to 7 pounds again; I couldn't have done that to him. He didn't want to eat. He didn't want to do anything yesterday except lay in the sun, and that's what he did, and it was beautiful yesterday. I am so glad that's what he got to do

Thanks--I knew we'd be here eventually, but I wasn't ready for it just yet.
I'm looking at pictures to see if I can find one that go on an urn (I don't anything about how to do this), and I'm seeing again that he was so worn out and it's sad. Take a look at the first pic on my flickr site: www.flickr.com/deckardssixth.
So pretty. She's been looking for him today. She's sort of looking at Bilbo like, "Why doesn't she go GET him?" as if I've left him at the vet today for some reason and I'm going back.
