That... might make me reconsider the entire job, to be honest. Working for a company that seems to have no real plan and doesn't seem particularly worried about backing you up might be more stress than you want. And better to go before the students get there.

But if you stay, I wish you luck. It sounds like you're going to have to work out things on your own and be really proactive. It'll give you plenty of good experience, I imagine!
