How life kicked me in the teeth again - round six hundred and eighty-five.

Jul 24, 2011 15:11

The short version:

All the female students for Friends Select pulled out. No female students = no need for a female RA = no job for Drea. They're paying me for the month, they're letting me stay on the Cape, and I got a free mostly-vacation out of it. But I'm out of a job again.

job hunting blows, i can haz drink now?, is this real life?

Oh, that's really sucky. I'm glad you're getting some time off, but I hope you find something else soon. <3

What the hell? Why did they all withdraw? At least they're paying you regardless, but I'm sorry you have to deal with the job-hunting circus again.

They only had two girls registered for Friends Select, and yes, both of them withdrew. I'm not shocked, all of the other schools are in safe areas of nicer cities.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Job-hunting is an absolute pain (I'm still with my local Huntington Learning Center, but they don't give me enough hours or anything like a regular schedule, so I'm filling out applications for a second job).

I've now read the Georgia saga, which plumbed depths of incompetence beyond anything I'd have thought a business could get away with, and I'm glad you're back in the U.S. with running water, fresh produce and an Internet connection. We'll have to chat soon and catch up (especially since I found a program that hosts my AIM account without crashing every ninety seconds).
