Aww, I'm with you sister! I went through all this last year when Sarah did all of that - prom, graduation, college, turning 18. And I had Aaron go off with her to college, so I went from a very full house to an empty nest in one fell swoop.
You've done a great job with him, you should be very proud. Children are not ours to keep - we raise them to go out in the world and be good people. Nick sounds like he is well on his way.
I understand standing in his room. I did that when my daughter moved out. Heck I saved clothes that she left behind for years. I still have a couple of old shirts of hers from high school. She graduates with her BSW next month and I am so proud of her!
oh I can't even imagine what i will do when my son gets to that stage! I am sure I will do the same thing, stand in his room and have panic attacks at night
