you know what i hate... taxes! I'm only 20 (well I will be in exactly 1 week) and I already hate taxes. I have $105 and some odd cents taken out of my check every week! It sucks, thats $105 less every week that I should be making which equal quite a bit by the end of the summer :( stupid government.

Ok, you pave your own roads, risk losing more wages to illegal immigrants, protect yourself from foreign powers while balancing inflation and making sure those who cannot work get paid. Also don't forget to find someway to help other countries, fight fires, support police services, postal services, transportation, while providing health care and education.

When you can do all that on your own. Then I will agree that the government is stupid and that you should get your $105 per week back.

Nevermind the fact that some people live off less then $105 a month.

jabber jabber jabber...

yea i know they've gotta pay those people and spend lots of other money pointlessly because they're the government and they like spending peoples hard earned money, but even still, it would be nice if they only took out $50 or so, heck even $75, but 105, that's a lot of money, even you have to agree there. They should take it from people who can afford it, cause everyone know's i certainly can't.

and yes, for the record, I do realize that taxes are based on income so obviously the rich are taxed more etc etc, but still, that's a lot of money for me to be losing every week.

Oh come on bluesman, I know you're not a liberal, but you're sure talking like on, "they should take it from the people who can afford it" like rich people right? You mean punish those who maybe worked a little harder in their lives to get where they are now, check it . . if you start to punish those who make more money and probably provide more jobs for other people to have by owning companies or selling products then they're going to eventually quit working if they're losing more money to make up for those who didn't work so hard in life . . yes we all feel the pain of 105 dollars a week adding up in the end, but like the person in the top mentioned, quit thinking of yourself only . . you're not the only one being taxed. . . being taxed dates back to the beginning . . and everyone is taxed . . .

yea yea, i know i know, im not trying to say that i want to get out of being taxed (well that would be nice). I know how the system works, im just bitching because in 2 years im going to have to start paying off over $135,000 that i'll be indebted for (damn student loans and even more so, damn berklee for giving crap for scholarships unless you're the next mozart...or herbie hancock). So basically im going to be living at home for the rest of my life trying to pay off my college tuition.... yay me :P
