3. post on craigslist for someone to take your spot at you old apartment.
4. get some free moving boxes on craigslist. 
5. find some furniture on craigslist.

I remember a friend of mine saying he could write an ad for the Village Voice.

I found my apartment, job, and girlfriend, all through ads in The Village Voice!
