Went and saw another Parenthetical Girls show last night. I had a great time. (Quiet MJ. I had a great time and that's all that needs to be shared.)

I know, I'm such a fangirl. It's embarrassing but I can't care about that, I just have to go with it. Yeah, he's massively effeminate... well, it's more like androgyny but on stage his movements are dramatic and could be called girlish. He has a girlfriend. She was at this show so I got to see her. She's a dancer (supposedly) and seemed kind of small all around, which means ... nothing, I suppose, lol. Hmmm. I laugh at myself.

Ah, I uploaded a new userpic and you must have that included as a notification. It's from my most recent entry but you couldn't see it because I freinded you on my writing journal and not here. (Because most people want to read my writing and my RL is kinda boring.) But I shall correct that now. So, the userpic is a Sons of Anarchy themed pairing Jax/Opie. I made a manip and then used it for a userpic. :) It's HERE. Mystery solved.

And this post is about a local band that I'm currently really into. I love them. Very very different from HIM, lol. But I have kind of eclectic tastes.

I have a pretty random taste too (i sing opera, play/sing for a metal band and I am doing studies in indian ethnic music, so yeah, crazy)

Its pretty cool to see people supporting their local bands! I "met" HIM when they were playing in a stinky dump-ass bar near london, so you never know when "Parenthetical Girls" will suddenly make it big just cause a few fans like you wrote about em a couple of times!

Parenthetical Girls. It would be nice if they made it bigger at least. Zac Pennington is pretty much the band and has been for years. He pays for everything out of pocket and lives... I don't even know, on merch and club touring. He cycles through musicians that are officially members but don't really stay. I thought it was because it was this prima donna but I was wrong. He's actually a nice guy. I now think he was choosing folks who were more artists and less musicians like himself. But he is musical, totally gets it. He just needs good musicians to back him up and I think he has them now. Their most recent "album" Privilege has been released in 4 EPs with one more to go and it's so good. A higher quality of music than in the past, IMO. Their last couple of videos are more professional as well (I posted a couple HERE), less like Zac and his friends playing with a camera. So, I think they are on their way... and it would be really nice for them after so effing much ( ... )
