Awwwww! That's fabulous; let's hear it for alignment ;)
This is such a good post. I'm glad things are looking up, working out and generally being shiny on so many simultaneous fronts. Hugs and smooches to you ♥
Oh, thank you, Dreamy! You're much too kind. ~squishes you back~ I'm very grateful for what I have right now, and I wish the same to you--because you definitely deserve it. &hearts
It is wonderful! I'm not convinced I've done anything special to deserve all the good fortune, but I'm definitely appreciative of it and will enjoy it for as long as it lasts. :-)
Glad all is well, my dear. If you can be this upbeat after the first week of classes, you have indeed had a miraculous few days /g/. I'm feeling much more chipper myself, now that I have finished grading the 36 introductory comp essays that I make my students write in the first week.
I'm admiring your nails from afar, and of course I can't blame the Boy Cashier for chatting you up -- we of the flist know your true peacock nature!
Hee! I admit that this entry might have had a slightly different tone if written at a few key points last week. But this situation is much more enjoyable than last year (for several reasons), and I am, after all, an optimist. A cautious optimist, but an optimist. It's early days yet, so we'll see what develops. ;-)
Congratulations on getting the essays marked! ~toasts you with appropriately celebratory beverage~
The chat-up at the pet store was a surprise, definitely, but a pleasant one. I must admit, I was quite peacocky that day. I think there was a scarf involved. *g*
Hooboy, I haven't read the other comments but let me just jump on the no-doubt bandwagon and say, Girlfriend? If you are not the perfect woman, who the *%^& is? Smart, lovely, kind, grounded, fun--and I mean all those words in their most potent senses. Pshaw, love. Pshaw.
For the rest, I refer you to Steve and Eydie. There's no controlling the unrolling of your fate, my friend. :D
I love you, Cpie. Have I mentioned? Because I do love you. A LOT. &hearts
You are much too kind, but I thank you for it all the same. You've made my heart glow today! ~beams at you~ I'm too well-acquainted with my faults to believe I'm perfect, but I'm trying to be a better person, at least, over the long haul.
And hah, for you and Steve and Eydie are very right. There's no controlling the unrolling of your fate, so it's best to just enjoy the ride and be open to where it takes you! :D
