Life is still good, as it has been good, and (I hope) will continue to be good. The universe keeps throwing random benevolent things at me when I least expect them, for reasons that defy my understanding as yet, and I keep feeling quiet amazement that the world is such a strange and strangely beautiful place ( Read more... )

This made me cry. What a lovely tribute to an obviously wonderfully loved lady.

she was lucky to be surrounded by people who loved her.

Cheers.

~hugs you and offers hankie~ Thank you very much, Trip! It was hard to find the words to write this post, but I wanted other people to know her like I did.

And yes, she was very lucky to be surrounded by all that love when she needed it most, but I think all of us would have said that we were giving back what she gave us.

*enormous hugs* You write about painful topics with such eloquence and heart. You, missy, are an extraordinary human being that I feel so privileged to know. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you had the opportunity to see (and banter with) friends and relatives and to recall the life of one super-duper lady. Love you, and many hugs.

~hugs and adores you~ Have I mentioned that you are a wonderful person, dear Brain Twin? I really should tell you more often. Thank you for all of this. &hearts Love you, too.

She truly was a super-duper lady, and I'm happy that you all got a chance to meet her and know her, if only through my eyes. She made the world around her a better place.

~hugs you~ Thank you very much, Iuls. She was a wonderful woman, and I'll miss her, but I think the best way I can pay tribute is to learn to be more like her.

you are so good at putting these things into words instead of just inarticulate emotionalness, which is what often happens to me. she sounds like a lovely lady, and i think you already are at least a fraction as cool and brave and wise as she was, and will only grow more so as you go on living your peacocky brilliant life. *hugs*

~hugs you tightly~

Thank you, Kitty! It was hard for me to find the words to write this post, but the writer in me insisted that it had to be done, and I wanted to share Auntie D's memory with others.

And thank you again. I hope so. I hope I can be more like her as I go on. I mean to try.
