*huge hugs* That doesn't sound like much fun at all. Unsettling, yes, that's a word for it. Ditto uncomfortable and mind-messy. I'm glad you're back and feeling more like yourself, as yourself is someone I'm very fond of.

~smooches and hugs~ I'm quite fond of yourself as well, so that's fortunate! &hearts

It was just such a strange experience. I'd never have guessed it would be so upsetting. You think, "Oh, it's just a little thing; I know who I am." But it's genuinely upsetting not to see yourself reflected in the mirror.

Oh, honey! ::hugs:: What an experience! I'm so glad you're getting back to normal. Yes, it's very disconcerting when that kind of thing happens. ::more hugs::

:P I've had a blown up head before and it's no fun. I had to convince people my 6'1 110 pound boyfriend didn't beat me up.

It was actually kind of funny seeing as I'm built like a tank and he dissapeared when he turned sideways lol

Glad you're all right, sweetie! How scary. I never would have thought of such a thing. How did you know it was your hair dye?

Thank you!

Yes, it was alarming. I guessed that it was the hair dye, only because my scalp also got quite itchy and bright pink, and that seemed to be where the swelling had started. The doctor confirmed it, and I guess it's not as uncommon a reaction as I would have thought! I'm going to have to look for an alternative color that doesn't use that particular additive, but I have to admit that at the moment, just the thought of dyeing my hair again is a bit much.

Oh my goodness! You poor thing. So glad you're back to your old self; that sounds like a terribly disconcerting, frightening experience. *hugs you tight* I do admire, tho', you're ability to self-reflect and identify the ways in which it changed your behavior and thinking ... you're a beautiful person, you know that?

~hugs you tightly back~ Thank you, my dear, but the feeling is completely mutual. I hope you know that! It was such a strange few days that I had to sit down and work out the effect it had on my head. Always a good idea to be self-aware, yes? (Or to try, anyway!) It was scary, but it was also a learning experience, and I'm sure it will be fodder for plenty of jokes in the years to come. ;-)
