It's that Interview Meme again! You know, the one where you comment to a post, and get seven topics to discuss, and then you talk about them? And then you offer topics to people who comment to your post and ask to join in? Yeah, that meme.

The lovely karelia gave me some lovely topics to discuss, so I'm going to do that now. And if you'd like some ( Read more... )

I was reading this, and Pandora served up Ziggy Stardust.

But I'm going to go find Man Who Sold the World and Oh You Pretty Things...

Hit me up, if you want.

Pandora is psychic! Today, as I was melting in this ungodly heat, it suddenly served up the Red Hot Chili Peppers singing "Snow." I think it was ironic commentary, or else encouragement to think cool thoughts.

And those are very very very good choices. Ziggy, Hunky Dory, and Man Who Sold the World are in heavy rotation in my personal collection.

Okay, so, seven topics for Pokey!

1. Baking
2. Draco
3. Classic Movies
4. Filking
5. Ben Folds (or Ben Folds Five, your choice)
6. So You Think You Can Dance
7. California

And your peacocking has been such an inspiration to the entire f-list. Watching your peacocking develop over the years has been so inspirational, and not because of the fun glitzy pictures or snazzy shoes, but because of the sheer joy.

OMG to the gay bushes. *dies*

Love you and your outlook on life! *big squish*

Oh! Thank you for that. You've made me a bit teary. Really, thank you. ~big squishes and love~ I love you, too, my dear, and I admire your approach to all that you do. &hearts

One of the things that I least expected about my peacocking project, and that has been most meaningful to me, has been seeing my f-list (and people beyond it) take on peacocking projects of their own. I'm not sure even I have words for what it feels like to be able to share that with people you love, and to see them shine and soar and feel confident in themselves. Nothing can top that.

I love my gay bushes! They work very well together.

You should be in charge of Michigan tourism! I am awed by your ability to describe where you live. If I had to describe my state, I guess I'd have to say it's wicked piss-ah. I identified with so much in your post, I'm not sure it's neccessary for me to ask for a prompt (I think you already wrote most of my thoughts) but I'll ask anyway!

When I run into people who knew me as a little girl, they always mention how I would sing and dance everywhere. I still do, I just pretend to be joking around when I bust out my moves in the grocery store.

~blushes like crazy~ Aw, thank you! I could have gone on for much longer about Michigan, to be honest, but I wanted to move on before most of my audience fell asleep out of boredom. I didn't even get to talk about our progressive streak, like being the first state to abolish capital punishment! Or the way graffiti artists are turning ugly, abandoned spaces into works of art and vehicles for social commentary. Or storms rolling in off the lake. Or the Freedom Festival Fireworks. Or...

My parents might never let me live down the story about going to see Annie as a little girl and getting out in the aisle to sing and dance along. *g* When my dad was so ill and I was having to take him from doctor visit to doctor visit, I would always be sitting in waiting rooms, listening to my iPod, and I'd ( ... )
