In which there is an update on my Dad's situation, an outpouring of gratitude, some reassuring news, lots of positive thinking, lots of reflective and thinky thinking, and the reaffirmation that although life is sometimes hard, it is also very good and beautiful, too.

dad, thanks, real life

Thank you for this wonderful news all wrapped up in the most life-affirming, thoughtful, joyous verbiage I've ever read. I'm thrilled the prognosis is so excellent, I'm grinning at imagining the lot of you cackling over delicious meals, and holy mother of pearl, I think Tumblr was invented specifically because the universe knew that one day Noel Fielding would be photographed done up as his glamfathers. GLEEEEE!!!! *squishes you like mad*

PS and because I didn't say so explicitly, YOU ARE AMAZING!!

But YOU'RE amazing! Oh, all right, let's settle for mutual admiration. ~hugs you hard~

Thank you so much for all the kind words and good thoughts, and for making me laugh and smile a lot over the last few weeks. I didn't need to be reminded that you're a great friend, but I've certainly been very aware of it lately. &hearts

And oh yes, I think that is Tumblr's true purpose! I swear, I think the first time I saw that photo of Noel as Ziggy, complete with gold lipstick, my brain melted.

Thank you so much, Dicky. There are indeed many positive things; it's just a matter of us taking the time to focus on them and appreciate them. They're a good reminder of what to fight for, you know? Thanks for the good thoughts. They are very much appreciated. &hearts

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I think I can hear those cheers from here, and they make such a difference. &hearts We do have a long way yet to go, but I do feel as though we've started out on the right foot, and if we've learned to appreciate each other and the good things in life just that little bit more... it is not a bad side effect. Being more aware of how much we love each other is no bad thing.

Thank you so much for all your support and positivity. You are a true gem! ~hugs you~

Much beautiful glitter to you, too. You are the best daughter your father could have. It is true that he must be made of extreme stuff if he's survived all that. It is absolutely true.

Thank you so much, Cocoa. ~hugs you~

He is a tough and hardy soul! Sometimes he forgets that, but it's our job to remind him that he is that strong. He's certainly inspired me. :)
