In which there is an update on my Dad's situation, an outpouring of gratitude, some reassuring news, lots of positive thinking, lots of reflective and thinky thinking, and the reaffirmation that although life is sometimes hard, it is also very good and beautiful, too.

One foot in front of the other... )

dad, thanks, real life

That is good news about your dad. You are so very fortunate that yours has the courage to fight for his life. I'm sure having you as a daughter is an inspiration. :)

Awww, thank you! I am so proud of my dad for being a fighter, and inspired by him, too. I'm just doing my best to keep him distracted (and therefore not focused on the scary stuff) and optimistic!

Good for you, Droxy! I know a lot of people put off colonoscopies because the prep for it is less than pleasant, but they really do save lives. You're doing a great thing for yourself. :)

This post is amazing. Your ability to see and appreciate and catalogue good in the world is to be commended.

I'm so glad your family had good news this week and shared it with each other and all of us.

Oh, thank you, Trip. I'm glad I had good news to share!

And thanks for this really beautiful comment. It touched me, and I don't mean that in a pervy way. I'm going to hold this one in my heart for the tougher times! ~hugs you~

I want to bash my head because I have missed the previous post. I really am behind the flist :( I'm glad, in a way, that your father's cancer is entirely treatable. I hope everything will go as smoothly as can be desired in such a situation. *hugs*

Oh dear, don't bash your poor head! I'm very fond of that head, and the person to whom it's attached. ;) It is hard to keep up with the flist these days, and I know I've missed my share of posts, too.

Thank you very much for your well-wishes! They're so appreciated. ~hugs~
