Once he had something resembling a sandwich, he'd fallen easily into playing catch-up with Caspar.
He heard Sei just as he was getting around to explaining how much colder it'd been up north, which was actually a great time to end the conversation. No one needed to hear about his adventures with shrinkage, anyway.
"Hey, Blue."

He would wait silently for Rick to introduce him, or for the stranger to ask his name. He'd never been one for starting conversation.

"This," Rick indicated the younger man by tilting his sandwich in Sei's general direction, "is the one that almost broke my nose."
He settled back against the counter behind him. "Well, you're in the right place. Eat whatever you want in here."

Over the last few weeks he'd taken to cooking almost obssesively, as they took his mind off of Crowley. Various pies and plates of cookies filled the kitchen (as he knew the residents of the guild would eat these quickly) and - currently on the stove - was a bowl of steaming chowder. If this Sei was hungry, he thought absently, he had quite the selection.
