** I feel like Ma Ingalls, right here in the middle of suburbanopolis. **

I have lots of calico -- should I make you a sunbonnet?

(Your bread recipe sounds novel. Hope it turns out well.)

So far, so good. It cooks in the oven as we speak.

Where do you get your pecan meal (or do you ground your own?) I often buy almond flour and so on from bobsredmill.com just for the convenience, but I have thought about grinding my own.

Meats are a hard thing for me right now--I wish I could buy grass fed beef and so on, but times are tight for us. :/

I ordered the pecan meal from nuttyguys.com Their prices are good and include the shipping. We have to stay away from Bob's Redmill, since they also use their equiptment for grain. In CA meat is really expensive, so ordering grass fed on line when it's on sale is actually cheaper than going to the grocery store. Go figure! It was really nice when we were able to switch to buying bulk. No more wondering what's for dinner.

You cant taste the mayo. All it is there for is a binding agent since this faux bread didn't have any dairy in it. it tastes ok, but not like the real thing.
