so a couple weeks ago i went to see the lovely dar williams, who quickly became my new best friend. i seriously fell in love with this woman all over again. her musis is fused with amazing melodies and the most poetic lyrics i've ever heard. plus, she weaves her personal life into each song so you can truly see that she's singing her life story,

of course "after all" is on. it just wouldnt be dar without that song. i had this conversation with amy last night and i do believe that "after all" is my all-time favorite dar song. i've had my temporary faves like "iowa" and now i'm really into her new album, but if i had to choose just one dar song, i think i'd have to give props to "after all." probably because its the most poetic.
