What a monster she must have been. I hate that anyone should ever have to feel that way because of an adult who's supposed to lift them up and nurture them.

She was tall and thin with silver/iron grey hair. She was, physically, a striking woman. Beautiful bone structure.

In retrospect she reminds me of a blade.

She really helped to ruin me. I didn't get interested in school or learning anything until college.

Had I been able to throw off the things she said and did maybe I would have been better off. My life would certainly be different, at any rate.

It's a little scary how many things early on can shape us.

Well, I was also an overly sensitive child with a not so healthy home-life as well. So she wasn't the only factor just a contributing one.

I feel sorry for the elementary teachers who came after. They tried so hard but couldn't reach me. Mr. Parks was cool, though. He found out I knew the material and then just let me read. He couldn't give me stellar grades because, hey, no work, but he let me be which is what I needed then.
