Our favorite local steakhouse, Barney's, shut down last month. I won a restaurant.com gift certificate for Barney's about 9 months ago that we never got around to using. Contacted restaurant.com customer service and they gave me a $25 credit the next day

Ah damn, I always wanted to go to Barney's. I almost went last thanksgiving but I forgot to reserve a table.

You should have tried just going, we made reservations the first time we went and they were totally unnecessary. We never had to wait when we went. That and the kick-ass salad bar were two major reasons for going there. Now we can't find good prime rib.

Restaurant.com sells the gift certificates at a deep discount, otherwise there would be no incentive to buy them. My credit was for $25 worth of gift certificate, so that took care of the $25 Taste gift certificate. After that it was:
