"Excuse me?" There was a tiny redhead knocking on Drac's open door and staring with some confusion at the barricade. "Umm, Professor Dracula? May I come in?"
Drac looked up, but didn't recognize the young lady. Perhaps she was lost? "Of course. Please." He smiled as his magic shifted the barricade and allowed her to pass. "How may I help you?"
Sholeh slipped into his office, diffidence in every line of her posture. "Excuse me for bothering, sir," she said quietly. "But I heard you're teaching a class about monsters? I know I didn't sign up, but I was hoping maybe I could audit it? Just sit in and listen? I'll do the work, of course."
Drac was surprised that there was a teenager raised well enough to want to take an extra class. He certainly hadn't when he was her age!
"Of course you may, my child." He put the book aside and stood, waving her to a chair. "And I am very please that you ask. Is there a reason that you didn't sign up previously?"
