So, when I eat curry, I seem to relax. A lot. Like I've had a glass of wine.

What is it about curry?

I need to find out more... Yum.

That's me... drunk on curry.

curry, food

I've heard that spicy foods give you an endorphin rush, could that be it? I used to get "post-Tommy's euphoria" from the chili.

I really wasn't able to find out much that didn't seem a bit corny. I need something hard, scientific to back me up on this, hehe...

Some sites claim that ingredients common in curry are linked with pain relief. Plus that heat feeling I get from some spicier foods... I wonder.

What kind of curry? Thai, Indian, Japanese?

In this specific incident, it was at a Chinese restaurant... though I would relate the curry I ate more to Thai curry than Chinese as it was thick, creamy, and had that coconut taste to it.

I do get it with Japanese curry, now that I think of it. I'm starting to think that the heat level has something to do with my reaction, as I relate the feeling with the hotter curry dishes more than the mild ones.
