Does anyone know what dill is in Maltese?

It seems that it is 'xibt'.Search for 'hwawar dill' and you will find it in recipes with it's maltese counterpart

I tried but I didn't get the same results.
Never heard the word 'xibt' to be honest

I didn't but I found it on 2 recipes. You might be using a different area on google (mt, nl, uk)

When in malta i like to use fennel leaves instead of dill :) i love how you can walk around maltese countryside and find stuff like fennel, thyme, rosemary and asparagus growing wild! and Bay trees! :D
