This post reminds me of how I used to have this thing about where I do my work (work meaning art, of course). I used to only be able to do my work successfully within the comfort of my own space (which I had to have most or total control over) with very precise environmental elements laid out already before I even begin. If you're going to be a successful artist, though, you have to forget about all those silly details of what's around you. You can't make coherent sketches in the middle of a mosh pit or a train wreck, but I think you know what I mean. It's not about your location or having ridiculously expensive pens and the same kind of easel that (insert famous artist here) used and a water-resistant fire-proof Louis Vuitton-print portfolio that converts itself into a tent to hold your work in, either. It's about what's inside you. I think this applies to you, too. I know you have something beautiful inside but I'm afraid you might be holding it back because you're too concerned about everything else around you. Let go of all those

I'm definitely guilty cause I'm one of those people whether you know it or not. You've brightened up my day many times when others couldn't. If you were to leave here, you would be missed and I'd just have to deal with feeling shitty whenever those days that I get despondent arrive until it went away.
