I've been "not well" for a long time. Fatigue, foggy headed, pain. I was told by a lot of professionals and un-professionals that there was nothing that could be determined to be "wrong" with me so I must be "fine". When I started going to the doctor who finally diagnosed my fibromyalgia, I came home from my first visit in tears. Not because she didn't listen to me but because she did... suddenly, after years of having doctors ignore me, I had a battery of serious tests and a possible diagnosis, which meant A Plan. Abso-fucking-lutely terrifying.

It's worked out well in the end. I can only shake my head when I look back at where I was 8 years ago - well, you were there... so I hope your process has results as good as mine have been. :}
