As part of their time-honored tradition of making really ugly cars, Pontiac put out the Aztek a number of years ago. You used to see them everywhere, and when spotted, the consistently produced one of two reactions from people. If you were human, your response was "My goodness, that's ugly". Call it fate, call it Providence, call it luck; but I expect that the Aztek's unfortunate inception, and its untimely, though agreeable demise are both rooted in its identity in Pontiac.

What I mean to say is, Pontiac's aesthetics are eclipsed in their indignity perhaps only by Pontiac's engineering. It is their glory and their shame.

Where have all the Azteks gone you ask?

I suspect their transmissions all fell out. And thank goodness for it.
