Whoops, guess I turned 23 and disappeared off LJ again :x

But happy 4th of July to my American f-list folk, and belated happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians~ :D

Random bullet point update about nothing in particular:
  • Watched Firefly, am sad that it was cut short so soon
  • Got rather drunk on Canada Day; it was an interesting enough experience ( Read more... )
  • tldr;, real life, interesting conversations, random

    *throws confetti* \o/

It grew on me slowly, to the point where I was getting down to the last few episodes and it felt like everything was brimming with possibility and then... just. It's over. ;____; And then I watched the movie and I was like ALL OF MY TEARS WHYYYYY

My aunt and I have been doing a great job of trying to stall our way out of being forced to move though, I must say!

wow, that sounds like such a nice, friendly neighbourhood, where everyone knows everyone and their families. I think anyone would find it hard to move away from it if they've been there for so long.

I mean, I don't particularly greet my neighbourhood folk much or anything, but I think because it's such a closed street (being a court and all) it's a lot easier to recognize people and feel comfortable. *wistful sigh*

LOLOL I was actually kind of freaked out at first too! Well, that, and wondering if it was an evangelist or door-to-door salesman before he started talking.

I couldn't imagine having to move around that much (or at all), I'm such a terrible homebody I can't really understand people who complain about wanting to move or wanting to travel at every opportunity lol; *hermit forever*

    Well my dad is pretty superstitious and consults certain mystic folk about shit. Basically he's now quite certain that it's "unhealthy" for us to stay here. Of course, there's also practical reasons regarding the difficulties of maintaining a house of a certain age (or any house) when there's only two women living here, and my dad wanting to remove all assets from Canada since he doesn't live here. My aunt and I are doing a great job of stalling so far, although he's getting more pushy by now lol;;;

    And THANKS 8D 8D 8D

Congratulations on the Coop! :D And so sorry to hear that you're moving out from a place with many memories against your will. It it really can't be helped, at least I hope that the new place you're going will also be nice and that you'll be able to build many fond memories there, too~

Thank you! Well, we're hoping that we'll find somewhere decent soon, that won't be too far away from our current area at least. Housing market's been kinda tricky, alas @_@

That man sounds so sweet :) My parents always talk about selling our house and moving into a condo, since I've moved out, and I'm just like, "nooooooooooooooooo you finally paid off the mortgage why would you want to move already" haha. I didn't even grow up here (we moved into the city when I was seven) but I've loved living here. I totally get your sentiments :(

If I just paid off a mortgage I'd want to stick around to enjoy my house for a while too! @_@ There's a certain comfort to living in a house, although some people would prefer condo living I suppose...

Thank you! I'll be working for Harry Rosen's central office downtown as an HR intern~ :D

Yeah! I live in an apartment in Guelph, and it's really nice to come home and not have to worry about making too much noise, about other people making too much noise, about people leaving garbage out, not having to deal with management, etc... I guess if you live in a condo you don't have to shovel the snow at least, lol. (But then you can't garden, either!!)

Oh neat! One of my friends' older brothers worked at Harry Rosen, as a sales associate. He was told by the manager that if Asians ever came into the store, the first thing he should do is to show them the Burberry scarves :PPP
