The floods are back, some villages are cut off completely, some roads - big and small - are inaccessible and the whole region is under emergency measures (whatever that means.) But living halfway up a hill doesn't completely save us from flooding - the field behind our house is so saturated that any rain we have just runs off, and that can sometimes get close to coming in out house, so we're still on alert even so. :)

You're right. Except I would say that this is also a man-made landscape (a bit like The Netherlands) so we've only got ourselves to blame if it all goes horribly wrong. I know of my family living here as far back as 1650 at least, so it isn't like we weren't warned!
And it does make for some interesting photos, if nothing else! :))

Do you connect the floods to global warming thing? I think there is something like climate change. Take our warm and snowless winters which only start at the end of January... Winters used to come much earlier before!

As far as the photos are concerned, I don't think it will change for quite a while yet - but I'm looking forward to getting back to normal! :))
