As you will know if you read my entry last week, on Friday evening I was privileged to attend a preview and official opening of a new exhibition at The Museum of Somerset in Taunton. It was a gorgeous evening and standing in the courtyard of Taunton Castle, glass of lemonade in hand (I was driving as always) mingling with the other invited guests

I'll do my best when I go again.

Poppy seed artwork sounds interesting too. I wonder how it was made.

I imagine the poppy seed artwork (and there is huge symbolism here between that war and the poppy) is done very simply by sticking the seeds to the surface - the denser the seeds the darker the coverage. As I said in another comment, when i was up close to it, there was a huge temptation to try and pick them off, but I managed to resist.

The last picture is just unbelievable, I have never seen a man with such a deep and wise look, this photo is a masterpiece. I saw on the Internet that there's an exhibition dedicated to the memory of the First World War in Plymouth too, so if it's true, I'll definitely visit it when I come there.

Yes, I had heard that Plymouth was doing something similar. They will do it well, especially being a naval port, so it will be worth seeing. (And, if you feel like visiting Somerset while you're here, you can visit this one too!)

Yes,I'm thinking of visiting some areas close to Plymouth,Somerset isn't too far from it,is it?What else to see in Somerset, except this exhibition?:)I'll have some free days before leaving UK, so I may go for an excursion for a whole day.

Anyway, Wells (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wells,_Somerset) has a gorgeous, huge cathedral, wonderful architecture in the buildings around it, for example The Vicar's Close, and the gardens at the Bishop's Palace are fantastic, peaceful and beautiful.
Glastonbury (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glastonbury) is a wonderful place, full of weird shops, strange people and lots of beautiful things. There are the Glastonbury Abbey ruins, some wonderful cafes in the High Street (my favourite is called La Terre) and, if you're feeling energetic, Glastonbury Tor.
Just a few ideas.
