This is a rather extraordinary marriage of the two stories. I finally managed to watch The Prestige... as a result of reading this story. I haven't been at a mental place where I felt that I could watch it because I had garnered the impression from my friends that had seen it that it, shall we say, wasn't perhaps the fluffiest of movies with the cheeriest of endings ( ... )

I really enjoyed this! It was very cool to seen these two universes blended together (mmm, sexy Victorian men all around >:d).

It was also cute to see Holmes go out of his way a bit to help Borden and Angier with their little 'case of love,' what with Watson's offhand comment about Holmes deciding to be a tad more sympathetic on the issue due to the implications of his and Watson's altered relationship.

And Watson finding Holmes annoying, yet somehow ridiculously endearing at times with his newly acquired interest in magic tricks! ♥
