So I found out at my PD yesterday frickin morning that I have to create yet another portfolio. I have to choose 3 goals: 1 for my reading class, 1 for math, and one for my professional growth based on this book of standards they gave me. yeah, being a teacher is HARD! everyone thinks it's get to school at 8 and leave at 3 and all summer off...what cxan be better? we know the reality IS quire different.
i had a horrible time last year. A lot depends on the school, the kids, the support you have, and just plain dumb luck. This year, so far (and thats a big deal cuz i don't want to jinx it), i am loving it.
