Jerry Only is touring as the Misfits with Dez Cadena and Robo backing him up.

I'm not sure how I feel about this in general, but right now the official stance of Joe Bernardi Industries is "If anyone wants to get completely smashed and go see Jerry Only and two dudes from Black Flag's best era play Misfits songs, I'm down."

I saw the Misfits c. 2001 with GWAR. Thumbs down to that show, man. That was maybe two shows before their singer literally walked offstage during a performance.

Also, I was grounded for a week because I got home at 4:30 in the morning. I decided to not tell my parents that our driver was drunk and lost one of his contacts. Ahh.. to be a teen again.

Anyway, Jerry Only is pretty cool, and much less of a dick than Danzig. I could definitely see this show being a million times better than anything that was on Famous Monsters. "Cutting with a knife/blood is spilling everywhere/she will be my wife/secondary spine..." LAME.

I saw the reformed Misfits with Gwar, but it was in '99 or '00 (I think) because I'm pretty sure I was in 9th grade. It was the same year I saw the Samhain reunion tour, which was awesome.

Yeah, when I saw Gwar, my friend and I were maybe two of the five girls in the entire audience, so we were asked to go onstage and my friend was like, "uhh.. balcony." Which I guess worked out okay, because at that time I was pretty pissed off when people pointed out my femininity.

i've already seen it when it was marky ramone drumming, and quite frankly, it's not worth it. you can't make a 1 minute misfits song FASTER than it already is, because then you are left with a 30 second mess of bad noise and vocals. this was their mistake, and this is why I'm not down with Jerry Only's version of the Misfits. He is milking the Misfits name for all it is worth (case in point: misfits wallet chains sold at hot topic), and this bothers me. They will however play some Black Flag songs, and I suppose that might make it worth your time.

This doesn't mean I won't still go.
