What are the rules in the UK? Can you make it official there, or do you have to wait for Canada?

And the answer is that, yes, the UK has evolved in a way that the US has yet to achieve. In 2005, it became possible for same-sex couples in the UK to register civil partnerships and receive a lot of the same rights as straight married couples.

So our plan is to get married here. And I would ADORE it if you could come. ( : Yay!
